The Opportunity
ASIC's Registry & Intelligence Group delivers trusted information and frontline services that support confident participation in the Australian economy. We administer more than 30 legal registers, including the Companies and Business Names registers, relied upon by millions of users across business, government and the community.
As Head of Registry Integrity & Compliance, you will lead a specialist team responsible for registry integrity, compliance programs and policy input within Registry Operations. The role sits at the intersection of operations, enforcement, policy and technology, and is central to ASIC's response to scams, misuse of the registers and emerging risks.
Key responsibilities include:
* Lead Registry Operations' contribution to ASIC's Scams Strategy, including implementation of the Scams Prevention Framework
* Design and deliver risk typologies to identify entities and intermediaries of concern and inform enforcement and investigation activity
* Strengthen the integrity of ASIC's business registers through identification of vulnerabilities and delivery of mitigation strategies
* Lead business register policy input, including director ID, company registration, deregistration and reinstatement
* Ensure regulatory objectives are met through registry process redesign under the Registry Connect program
* Oversee responses to data breaches, cyber threats and unauthorised registry changes
* Represent ASIC's business register interests with senior internal and external stakeholders, including Treasury and regulatory partners
About You
You are an accomplished leader with experience in regulatory, compliance or integrity-focused roles within government, financial services or other regulated environments.
You bring strong strategic judgement, the ability to deliver in complex and evolving settings, and highly developed communication and stakeholder management skills. You are comfortable operating at executive level, influencing outcomes and leading specialist teams to deliver meaningful regulatory and public value outcomes.
