The Role
You will be providing support within a client's home, focusing on their specific needs and NDIS goals. This role requires a professional with sound judgment, initiative, and a sensitive approach to care.
Valid work visa or Australian residency is required for this position.
A minimum of 6 months disability support experience is required.
Certificate III in Community Services qualification is required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting with all aspects of personal care, dressing, and other activities of daily living.
* Performing safe manual handling and transfers, with specific experience in the use of hoists.
* Prior experience with hoist operation is required from commencement.
* Providing specialised healthcare support, including colostomy care and pressure area management.
* Training in colostomy care will be provided to successful candidates.
* Supporting clients with daily living activities, such as meal planning and preparation, and light domestic duties.
* Facilitating community access and social participation, including transport to appointments and activities.
* Maintaining accurate and timely progress notes and health records.
