The Langham, Melbourne is currently recruiting for a Full time Reservations Sales Agent to join Melbourne's premier luxury hotel. About the role You will have the opportunity to work with the Reservations department which consists of approximately 6 colleagues. This is an exciting opportunity for you to grow your hotel skill set in order to build a career with-in The Langham, shall you be determined and dedicated. The successful candidate will be required to work various shifts throughout the week This position is an integral part of a high performing hotel team, and a key contributor to the hotel's ongoing success. Previous experience in a Reservations role is preferred Your responsibilities will include: Assisting queries via telephone, responding via email, monitoring our on-line reservations, up-selling over the telephone & assisting loyalty member guests with queries. Maximising sales opportunities within the hotel, ensuring all queries and bookings are carried out in an accurate and time effective manner Ensuring a high level of product knowledge is maintained in order to explain services and facilities to clients as required Processing all correspondence on a daily basis Ensuring that all restaurant reservations are made within the guidelines of daily status If you think this is the right role for you, apply now! Skills and experience For this role, your attributes will be inclusive of the following: Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a luxury hotel or similar environment Proficient in the use of Opera (reservations booking system) Immaculate presentation and grooming standards Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail Ability to work well under pressure Professional and positive attitude Able to work over a seven day rotating roster – morning & afternoon shifts
