Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Quality Engineer to play a key role in driving quality engineering practices and ensuring high-quality solutions across our projects. As a Quality Engineering Consultant, you will be responsible for planning and leading medium- to large-scale engagements under traditional and agile methodologies.
You will deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget, collect and report on metrics (KPIs, SLAs, budgets, schedules), and recommend or use the right tools for requirements, test management, automation, and CI/CD.
You will build and mentor teams, influence senior stakeholders, run risk workshops, escalate and resolve issues, and contribute to continuous improvement of practices, assets, and frameworks.
The ideal candidate will have experience in quality engineering, testing, and software development life cycle (SDLC). They should possess strong communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with developers and other project members.
Responsibilities
* Define: Contributes to requirements analysis for medium to large projects.
* Identifies root causes of quality issues across environments.
* Supports development of enterprise-wide quality strategies.
* Manages quality engagements in moderately complex settings with senior guidance.
* Assesses and mitigates quality risks, escalating when necessary.
* Design & Develop: Implements environment controls and defect management.
* Writes SQL queries and generates test data.
* Updates automation scripts and executes test suites.
* Deploy: Applies release and environment management practices.
* Reviews release documentation and supports go-live evaluations.
* Quality Engineering Practices: Trials and evaluates new quality practices.
* Builds expertise in quality attributes like performance, security, and accessibility.
* Mentors junior team members and promotes early defect prevention.
* Continuously improves quality processes.
Requirements
We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer with:
* Ability to work collaboratively with developers and other project members.
* Possess in-depth experience as a senior test engineer in all areas of the SDLC.
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong test experience in all areas of the SDLC, including system, SIT or UAT.
* Collaborating with developers, business analysts, and users to understand testing needs and identify automation opportunities.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of test quality by undertaking reviews and recommending improvements.
* Possess a solid understanding of modern application deployment methodologies and cloud infrastructure.
* Can effectively adapt to workload and issues to maintain momentum.
