As they advance their product development and clinical phases, there are opportunities to be part of this high-performing team of experts.The Infrastructure Development Manager oversees the planning, development, execution, management, and maintenance of the facility infrastructure, including specialized radiation equipment and containment systems. This role ensures projects are executed efficiently, infrastructure is well-maintained, and all operations comply with safety and regulatory standards to support manufacturing, research, and compliance needs. Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of engineering systems and facilities.Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and regulatory teams to ensure facility modifications meet industry standards.Lead project management activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.Manage budgets, optimize resources for operational efficiency.Oversee construction, installation, and commissioning of critical facility upgrades, including cleanrooms, laboratories, and controlled environments.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards, working closely with the Facilities team.Identify, evaluate, and engage contractors, vendors, and suppliers for infrastructure projects.Develop and negotiate contracts with vendors, contractors, and service providers, ensuring scope, quality, and compliance.Oversee routine maintenance, calibration, and operation of facility infrastructure, ensuring GMP and radiation safety compliance.Manage preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure infrastructure and lab reliability and safety.Ensure infrastructure assets' reliability, safety, and efficiency.Ensure all projects and operations comply with regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, EMA, TGA, ICH, PIC/s).Work with quality assurance and regulatory teams to prepare for GMP inspections and audits.Maintain documentation and records related to modifications, vendor agreements, and compliance activities.Note: The team performs some early morning and night shifts; however, this position primarily requires working Monday to Friday, 9 am – 5 pm.What do you need?Stay updated on industry trends to drive innovation.Supervise and mentor engineering and technical teams, fostering a culture of excellence.Adhere to workplace health, safety, and regulatory policies.Engage with other business units to ensure seamless activities.Collaborate with other departments.Perform additional tasks as requested by the SVP Technical Operations.Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical) or related field.At least 5 years of experience in infrastructure development, facilities management, or capital projects in pharma, biotech, or radiopharmaceuticals.Proven experience in engineering and infrastructure management with successful project delivery.Strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in engineering software and tools.Excellent communication and organizational skills.High proficiency in Microsoft Office.Experience working in diverse teams and commitment to inclusion.Familiarity with regulatory standards (FDA, EMA, TGA, ICH, ISO).Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PE) preferred.Experience managing large-scale facilities or infrastructure systems is highly desirable.Note: This role involves working with radiation products in a regulated environment; candidates must maintain a Queensland Radiation Use Licence (provided by the company).Apply now or contact Christelle Capini at ccapini@fuserecruitment.com for questions.At Fuse, we specialize in recruitment for the scientific and manufacturing industries, actively sourcing roles for various organizations.
