Job Title: Senior Payroll Professional
About the Role:
* As a Senior Payroll Professional, you will play a pivotal role in shaping strategic business decisions and driving innovative solutions.
* You will oversee end-to-end payroll operations for 3,500+ employees across six entities.
* Action payroll requests promptly and accurately, including new hires, exits, and changes.
* Manage fortnightly payroll processes, variance checks, and reconciliation of electronic funds transfers (EFT).
* Administer the setup of new superannuation funds and reconcile payments.
* Reconcile payroll reports bi-weekly after each payroll run and monthly.
* Provide mentorship and support to the payroll team.
* Maintain knowledge of relevant legislation.
* Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and simplify payroll processes.

* Paying Salaries and Benefits:
* Manage salary payments, benefits, and entitlements for all employees.
* Run regular payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.
* Payroll Compliance:
* Maintain knowledge of relevant tax laws, awards, and regulations.
* Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements, including taxation, workers' compensation, and superannuation.
* Team Management:
* Supervise and coordinate payroll staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
* Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages collaboration and open communication.
About You:
* A degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field is required.
* Proven experience in payroll management, preferably in a senior role.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential.
* A strong understanding of payroll software and systems.
* The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
