About The Role
The Senior Project Officer provides project coordination and support for various Business Improvement projects, assisting with the identification of improvement opportunities, benefits realisation, and the refinement of existing business processes and systems.
This role is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and review of two major system wide reform projects within the department. These reforms aim to benefit preschools, schools, children and young people, their families, and the broader community by enhancing the enrolment and personalised learning experience, streamlining and standardising administrative tasks, supporting the adoption of modern IT systems to support improved service delivery, strengthening communication channels to engage stakeholders effectively, and reducing administrative burden in schools and preschools, allowing educators to focus on teaching and learning.
The Senior Project officer will work closely with business analysts and project managers within Business Improvement, as well as business subject matter experts and end users, both corporate and in schools, to run workshops and capture specifications and requirements.
Qualifications
Essential: Nil
Desirable: Qualifications in either Project Management, Change Management or Business Process Improvement or equivalent experience.
Special conditions
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration
ASO6 $98,478 - $104,165 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading
