About The Position
We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Project Manager to provide leadership and management over Seymour Health Infrastructure and Capital Works projects.
The position is on a Fixed Term basis for an initial period of 6 months, with a possible extension of another 6 months.
The Project Manager shall ensure all project requirements are met in accordance with building codes, OH&S standards, policies, and procedures. The role involves developing projects, managing documentation, communication, delivery, and reporting to meet Seymour Health's growth objectives.
1. Coordinate and administer SH Projects, including project development, monitoring, and the development of potential major capital works and future projects. Assist with funding submissions for infrastructure and equipment upgrades.
2. Monitor project plans, manage issues, priorities, risks, conflicts, communications, and interdependencies between contractors, SH team, and consumers.
3. Coordinate stakeholder consultations.
4. Work closely with the Facilities Manager, Project Officer, SH Executive, Department of Health, and Victorian Health Building Authority.
5. Ensure compliance with regulations related to infrastructure, emergency management, OH&S, infection control, Australian standards, building and safety codes, and asset management frameworks.
6. Liaise with facilities managers, contractors, architects, and site builders to ensure smooth project execution.
7. Report to the Department of Health, Victorian Health Building Authority, and other external bodies as required.
8. Maintain current and informative policies, procedures, and manuals.
9. Prepare monthly reports and financial updates for relevant committees and groups.
10. Follow the Contractor Induction process.
11. Participate in emergency incident response activities as defined in the emergency management manual, as directed by management.
What you bring
1. 3-5 years of project management experience, including planning and delivery.
2. Proven knowledge of building codes, OH&S regulations, infection control, and Australian standards.
3. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Email, and project management software like Microsoft Project and Mex.

7. Ability to maintain detailed and accurate project information.
8. Valid Driver's License, WWCC, and Police check.

Qualifications / Registrations
1. Tertiary qualification or significant experience in project management or similar.
2. Understanding of health sector infection prevention, building codes, and OH&S; qualifications or training in OH&S are highly regarded.

Seymour Health is a leading small rural health service with over 300 staff. Our services include a 30-bed hospital, post-acute care, palliative care, ambulatory services, oral health, district nursing, and a 40-bed residential aged care facility at Barrabill House. Located an hour north of Melbourne via the M31 Hume Freeway and V/Line train.
