Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Cost Management Leader to oversee all aspects of cost management across the project lifecycle, ensuring financial performance aligns with delivery goals.

Main Responsibilities:
\
* Develop and manage comprehensive project budgets, tracking actual costs, commitments, and forecasts.
\
* Monitor financial performance, identify cost variances, and assess potential impacts.
\
* Analyse cost data to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
\
* Collaborate with schedulers to ensure alignment between time and cost forecasts.
\
* Prepare clear, detailed cost reports and dashboards for stakeholders and clients.
\
* Support change control processes, assessing variations, scope changes, and their financial implications.
\
* Provide input into risk management and mitigation planning from a cost perspective.
\
Requirements:
\
* 7–10 years of experience in cost control, quantity surveying, or estimating, preferably within defence or building and infrastructure projects.
\
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with cost management systems is advantageous.
\
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret and manage contractual obligations.
\
* Excellent communication and reporting skills, both written and verbal.
\
* Proactive and detail-oriented with the ability to work independently.
\
* Australian citizenship with the ability to obtain Baseline or NV1 security clearance.
