The Role:
Kempe Services Pilbara is seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor local to Karratha to join our expanding Karratha based team. Working within a close-knit environment, your role will be to lead our team of tradespeople performing a range of tasks both in workshop and site.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
* Australian recognized trade qualification as Mechanical Fitter or equivalent
* Proven experience as supervisor with minimum 5+ years in similar role within related industry essential
* Manage the workforce to meet operational requirements and ensure product quality.
* Have extensive site and workshop based fluid power service experience
* Identify and manage resource levels to meet timelines against planned activities.
* Understand workshop equipment performance, capability, maintenance requirements and costs.
* Mining, Energy knowledge / experience highly regarded
* Section 44 Qualification
* Solid understanding and awareness of HSE requirements, responsibilities and obligations
* Able to manage small to medium teams performing maintenance on fixed plant
* Previous experience in quoting, estimating and cost control
* EWP, WAH & Confined space certificates or willing to attain
* An ability to proactively work in a fast-paced environment
* Disciplined attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong organizational and team working skills
* Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment medical, with LABDAS and random screenings
* Current driver's license
* Ability to read and work from drawings
* RIO Inducted or we can assist to obtain

* Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
* Fire Attack Training
* Rio Tinto Lock Holder – current
* Rio Tinto Iron Ore Essentials – current
* Forklift
* Rigger Basic
