Job Title: Mental Health Professional Role in Inpatient Unit
Central Coast Local Health District is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Mental Health Inpatient Unit. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in providing safe, person-centred care to individuals with complex mental health needs.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of comprehensive nursing care, focusing on the assessment, planning, and implementation of strategies to manage patients experiencing acute mental illness, high-risk behaviours, or complex presentations.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver comprehensive nursing care across diverse clinical settings
* Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes
* Provide leadership, mentorship, and clinical direction to nursing and support staff
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement, empathy, and excellence in care delivery
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Recent post graduate clinical experience in mental health and commitment to quality improvement, practice development and evidence-based practice
* Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations
* Experience in mental health assessment, clinical documentation, and person-centred care planning
