Responsibilities
* Due to continued growth, provide leadership, guidance and mentoring across multiple sites in WA & NT. Travel to various sites to provide guidance and mentorship to site-based maintenance teams across WA & NT via presentations and hands-on demonstrations on CAT Mobile Plant Equipment – loaders, dozers, graders, dump trucks and more.
* Conduct fault-finding and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
* Carry out scheduled servicing and inspections to proactively detect and address wear or faults
* Strip down and rebuild major components of heavy equipment as required
* Diagnose and repair diesel engines, drivetrains, and hydraulic assemblies
* Operate diagnostic software and tools to efficiently identify and resolve issues
* Record all service, repair, and maintenance activities with accuracy and attention to detail
* Adhere to all workplace health and safety standards during daily operations
* Work closely with other technicians to complete complex tasks and major overhauls
About You / Qualifications
* Australian recognised trade certificate with a minimum 5 years post-trade experience
* 10+ years industry experience
* Certificate III in heavy-duty diesel equipment (or equivalent)
* Strong track record maintaining CAT heavy earthmoving equipment – excavators, trucks, dozers, loaders, graders
* Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills
* Ability to communicate effectively and present information clearly
* High level of computer literacy (highly regarded)
* Ability to pass pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol screening
* Ability to meet security requirements (National Police Clearance)
