Role Summary
Senior Copywriter based in Sydney. You will lead creative strategy and craft persuasive copy across the customer journey for APAC initiatives, translating complex technology into human terms for an Australian audience.
Responsibilities
* Drive creative thinking and copywriting across the full brand experience, from concept to delivery, spanning campaigns, product launches, social media, web, video, and events.
* Craft impactful, concise headlines and well‑structured body copy, comfortable with both long‑ and short‑form writing that bridges technology and humanity.
* Participate actively in brand development and creative strategy meetings that align with business objectives.
* Present concepts, copy, and creative rationale clearly to senior leadership.
* Incorporate SEO best practices into all writing to improve search rankings and organic traffic.
* Monitor creative work using analytics and adjust strategies based on research and data to continuously optimise marketing performance.
* Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams in Creative, Global Marketing, Digital, Research, Events, and Editorial to ensure cohesive messaging across all touchpoints.
* Provide copywriting and conceptual support for corporate events and experiential marketing initiatives.
Qualifications
* Minimum 10+ years of experience writing copy for established global B2B/B2C companies, or equivalent freelance experience.
* At least 4 years of experience leading/concepting projects and presenting work to senior leadership.
* Expert knowledge of Australian market insights and local slang, with a strong understanding of resonant messaging for the Australian audience.
* Conceptual big thinker who can extend ideas flawlessly across all media and touchpoints along the marketing funnel.
* Proven ability to make complex concepts relatable and understandable for diverse audiences, from decision‑makers to technical groups.
* Experience in the advertising space or set copy direction for audio/video shoots preferred.
* Familiarity with AI in creative storytelling preferred.
* Knowledge of Ad‑Tech principles or collaboration tools such as Asana and Figma preferred.
* Self‑starter, highly organised, excellent time‑management skills, and able to meet tight deadlines.
* Natural curiosity to learn about and understand new technologies, staying current with trends and industry insights.
* Proven track record of effective teamwork with excellent communication and interpersonal skills across markets.
Contract type
6 months fixed‑term contract from March 2026 – September 2026.
