About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead key stages of project delivery through construction and early commissioning for a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Regional Victoria.
This is a hybrid role involving time split between the site in regional Victoria and the Melbourne head office. It's ideal for a contract PM with experience in energy infrastructure or someone between permanent roles who can hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead day-to-day project delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality targets are met
* Manage teams across site and head office, including subcontractors, engineers, and suppliers
* Oversight of site progress, logistics, and interface between construction and engineering
* Support stakeholder engagement and compliance with safety and environmental requirements
* Report on program performance, risks, and commercial issues to internal and external stakeholders
About You
We're looking for someone with proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure or renewable energy projects (BESS, solar, wind, or transmission highly regarded). Previous EPC or principal contractor-side experience is preferred. You should be able to work on-site in regional VIC several days per week, with time also spent in Melbourne. We require a confident, delivery-focused individual capable of leading a fast-paced project environment.
Able to start within 2–4 weeks, if possible. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct project teams effectively.
What's on Offer
We offer a 3 to 6 month contract in the energy transition space with a strong day rate (ABN or PAYG options available). You'll have immediate impact on a high-profile BESS project, with potential for contract extension or follow-on work. This opportunity allows you to leverage your skills and expertise while working on a dynamic and challenging project.
