Freight & Customer Service Supervisor – WA Lead a Team | Customer Service & Freight Operations | Full-Time
We are seeking an experienced Freight & Customer Service Supervisor to lead a small, dynamic team in Western Australia. This hands‐on role is responsible for managing customer service and freight operations, ensuring that service levels, KPIs, and operational efficiency are consistently met. You will oversee day-to-day team activities, resolve customer issues, and coordinate freight scheduling across inbound and outbound operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a team handling customer service inquiries and freight coordination.
* Monitor team performance against KPIs and cost targets, providing coaching and support where needed.
* Take ownership of customer issues, following problems through to resolution in a timely manner.
* Maintain strong communication with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth freight operations.
* Ensure all freight requiring bookings is scheduled accurately to align with customer requirements.
* Compile reports, analyze performance data, and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
* Promote a positive, proactive, and customer‐focused team culture.
Skills & Experience
* Demonstrated experience in a customer service or freight supervision role.
* Understanding of the transport, logistics, or warehouse industry.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Ability to manage a high‐volume, fast‐paced environment with attention to detail.
* Proficient in computer systems and able to learn new software quickly; SAP experience advantageous.
* Strong problem‐solving skills with a proactive, positive approach.
* Ability to coach, mentor, and develop a team while taking responsibility for key operational functions.
