About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for a self-motivated and experienced Communication & Engagement Officer to join our Communities team to play a key role in the development and delivery of key communications and engagement initiatives across various channels, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and community relations for projects Australia-wide.
Reporting to the Group Communities & Indigenous Affairs Manager, you will be accountable for the following:
* Develop and deliver key operations, project, and exploration communications
* Coordinate and manage the delivery of community information sessions for various projects, ensuring effective engagement with local communities
* Create and distribute communication materials related to external stakeholders, such as landholder notices for access, road, and construction impacts
* Collaborate with internal teams to gather and disseminate information relevant to community and stakeholder communications
* Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including community groups, local authorities, and other external partners
* Support the planning and execution of events and activities aimed at promoting community engagement and awareness
* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines related to communication and stakeholder engagement
About you
To be successful for this role, you will have:
* Tertiary qualification in Communications (or similar) preferred
* Demonstrated experience in a similar role
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
* Strong attention to detail and systematic approach
* Ability to prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines
* Ability to work independently
* Proficiency in technology and computer-based programs
