PhD Scholarship Co-designing and developing health promotion programs for neurological populations

Consider yourself a champion in health and physical activity promotion, or do you see opportunities to better promote physical activity in the Australian Healthcare system?

Come back to uni, on a fully funded PhD scholarship, and join our team who are focused on improving physical activity promotion. Our project is supported by MS Australia and the Perron Institute, and you’ll be joining an international team from all over Australia, Canada and the USA.

Your PhD project will involve building skills in synthesising the evidence through literature reviews, coordinating and conducting stakeholder interviews and focus groups, assessing the feasibility of delivering evidence-based physical activity in clinical practice, and analysing small data sets.
It will open-up your future career prospects to become a leader in physiotherapy, health promotion, and patient informed research as well as leading the generation of new clinical evidence to advance healthcare in Australia.

You’ll be able to work part time clinically during the 3-year PhD.

The opportunity is open to physios, occupational therapists, exercise physiologists, nurses, or those from other clinical and public health back grounds.

You’ll need to have completed the equivalent of an Honours degree with a thesis component.
