Quarry Manager - Aggregates
Location: Geraldton, WA
Salary: $140,000 - $170,000 + Super (depending on experience)
We are seeking an experienced Quarry Manager to lead operations at a busy aggregates quarry in Geraldton. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day quarry operations, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards in safety, environmental compliance, and operational efficiency.
You will lead a team of approximately 10-20 employees and contractors, building a strong safety culture and driving operational performance across the site.
Key Responsibilities
Manage quarry operations to meet production targets, budgets, and quality standards.
Oversee load and haul, crushing, stockpiling, and load‐out activities to ensure efficiency and product quality.
Ensure all plant and equipment maintenance is planned and carried out effectively.
Lead and develop the quarry team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
Drive strong safety leadership and ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Manage drill and blast activities and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
Develop production plans and manage operational costs and site budgets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and the local community.
Identify opportunities for operational improvements and efficiency gains.
About You
Minimum 5 years' experience in quarrying, mining, or crushing operations.
Diploma or Certificate in Extractive Industries (or equivalent).
Quarry Manager's Certificate or Site Senior Executive Certificate preferred.
Strong leadership experience managing operational teams.
Solid understanding of safety management systems and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.
