Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality electrical and instrumentation maintenance services, ensuring maximum reliability and uptime.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and instrumentation technology, with experience in installation, maintenance, and repairs of electrical and instrumentation wiring, equipment, and fixtures. You will also have knowledge of relevant Australian and mining standards and regulations codes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure all electrical and instrumentation maintenance is carried out in a safe and efficient manner
* Meet set work targets for daily work group activities
* Achieve results through prioritizing activities, delegating, and monitoring progress
* Motivate yourself and others in overcoming obstacles and achieving goals
* Maintain good Fieldbus installation standards
* Ensure data displayed on the DCS system corresponds with field calibration
* Capable of fault finding on Instrumentation control loops
* Maintenance on all plant electrical and instrumentation equipment
* Working on motor control systems, DCS wiring, high voltage motors, low voltage motors, and switchgear
* Maintain high and low voltage variable speed drives and battery systems for high voltage protection relays and UPS
* Substation Maintenance and overhead power line from the mine to a sea water intake and booster pump stations
Requirements:
* Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or equivalent
* Demonstrated experience working in mining industry
* Sound knowledge of low voltage switchboards, motor controls, starters, and protection systems
* Knowledge of high voltage systems would be an advantage
* Experience with automation systems such as SCADA, PLC, and VSD controllers would be an advantage
* Ability to interpret and understand complex engineering drawings and documentation
* Valid Class C driver's license
* Able to pass pre-employment medical examination
* Able to pass a drug test
