This position is being offered in a Temporary Full-Time capacity (76 hours per fortnight) and will have split am and pm shifts. About The Role As a Cleaner, you will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our school facilities, ensuring a positive environment for students, staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities Include Clean and maintain assigned school areas to a high standard, ensuring classrooms, amenities, and shared spaces are safe, hygienic, and ready for students each day. Follow established cleaning schedules, checklists, and routines — including morning readiness tas Perform tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, wiping surfaces, emptying bins, cleaning amenities, spot cleaning walls/doors, and replenishing supplies. Maintain cleaning equipment safely and report any faults, hazards, or maintenance issues promptly. Support whole-school hygiene standards by following infection control practices and using appropriate PPE and chemicals correctly. This role would suit someone who takes pride in their work, values a clean and safe environment, and enjoys being part of a supportive school community. About You The following traits would be beneficial: Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleaning standards. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Strong communication skills for liaising with school staff and reporting issues. Experience in cleaning or maintenance roles (beneficial but not essential). Basic understanding of workplace health and safety practices. Basic computer skills e.g. receiving and replying to emails, reporting hazards using our online system, completing online mandatory training. Interested?
