We are partnered with a well-known company for the recruitment of 2 x Quality Laboratory Technicians based in Kwinana.
These are both initial 6 month contracts paying a base rate of $ super per hour.
You'll be working on what's known as a Sportsman's roster, which means you'll work 12 hour shifts day and nights (6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am), with down time in between. Most importantly, it means you'll earn regular overtime (time and a half, double time etc).
As a Quality Laboratory Technician, you'll be responsible for Providing technical support to operations in a Quality Assurance/Quality control function through product and materials sampling and testing to ensure required quality standards are maintained. This will include:
* Carries out sampling, testing and related tasks in a Quality Assurance/Quality control environment following standard instructions and schedules
* Works in accordance with pre-established guidelines and procedures under general supervision, follows document control and records management systems
* Carries out routine analytical tests and assists senior staff with more complex testing activities
* Carries out routine maintenance of testing/laboratory equipment and liaises with specialist support staff on fault repair
* Carries out duties in accordance with relevant Safety, Health and Environment rules and procedures and good laboratory practice
* Enters, manage & collate data and other information, records data and observations and completes routine reports
* Participates in quality audits and/or complaints management processes; supports response to corrective actions from audits
* Carries out a range of analytical tests and assists in troubleshooting quality problems with operations and Quality Assurance/Quality control colleagues
* Plans own work within the constraints of the overall testing schedule and supports relevant systems & processes
* Implements new techniques and technical equipment to support the continuous improvement of Quality Assurance/Quality control processes
