By joining our Board, you will directly influence the sustainability and growth of a charity that advocates for dignity, care, and lifelong protection for vulnerable animals.
About Us
Ninth Life Foundation is a not for profit animal rescue charity with ATO DGR status and Approved Rehoming Organisation status, focused on saving, rehabilitating, and rehoming senior and high care cats. We are committed to a no kill philosophy and believe every cat deserves safety, comfort, and dignity, especially in their twilight years.
Our work spans rescue, rehabilitation, veterinary care, and community education, supporting some of the most overlooked and vulnerable animals in our society.

* Build and nurture relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners
* Support grant applications, campaigns, and donor engagement initiatives
* Identify opportunities for revenue diversification and long term sustainability
* Collaborate with fellow Board members to strengthen organisational impact
* Champion the mission and values of Ninth Life Foundation
Your contribution will directly support the rescue and care of cats who would otherwise be abandoned, euthanised, or left without support.
About You
You will bring:
* Demonstrated experience in fundraising, philanthropy, partnerships, or business development
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, business development, fundraising, or event management are highly regarded but not essential
* Strong networking and relationship building skills
* Strategic thinking and the ability to identify growth opportunities
* An understanding of governance responsibilities, not for profit experience highly regarded
* A commitment to ethical practice and transparency
* A genuine passion for animal welfare and social impact
Commitment
This volunteer role involves:
* Approximately 6 Board meetings per year
* Direct involvement in fundraising initiatives and strategy sessions
* Around 3–5 hours per week, including preparation and follow up
