Expression of Interest: Support Worker - Children Services | Bendigo
Location: Bendigo. Reporting to the Support Manager or Service Leader. You will work within the Purpose and Values of Aruma as part of a high-performing Youth Support Team, delivering a positive customer experience to those in our care. We strongly encourage candidates with a disability to apply.
Responsibilities
* Provide direct care within a residential setting, ensuring a safe and nurturing home-like environment
* Promote positive family relationships and community connections
* Work within a trauma-informed framework to support young people with complex needs and challenging behaviours
What You'll Need
* Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential Care), or equivalent (or willingness to enrol – see the attached document below)
* Mandatory Top-Up Units Residential Care (4 Modules)
* Valid Australian full driver's licence
* Valid Australian working rights
* Willingness to complete a Child Safety and Personal Screening Check
* Hold (or be willing to obtain) a Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, First Aid and CPR qualifications
Skills & Experience
* Availability to work any rostered shifts across a 24/7 roster model, including awake nights and sleepovers
* Passion for supporting young people who have experienced trauma and have a disability
* Resilience and commitment to trauma-informed care
