**About the Role**
Are you passionate about connecting people with knowledge? Do you enjoy supporting students and educators in their learning journey? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
As a Library Officer, you'll play a key role in enhancing student learning and supporting teaching excellence. Your main responsibility will be managing interlibrary loan requests—ensuring that students and staff have access to the resources they need.
Beyond that, you'll help keep essential readings and course materials up to date, maintaining library records in systems like Alma and Leganto. You'll also be a welcoming presence, assisting library users through various service channels. Whether it's leading library tours, conducting student orientations, or providing front-desk support, you'll be helping to make the library an accessible and valuable resource for all.
You'll work closely with the Team Leader and a collaborative library team, following established processes while having opportunities to engage with students and staff in a dynamic environment. If you have strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and a passion for libraries and learning, we'd love to hear from you!
**About You**
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Direct knowledge or experience with VE, Higher Education and college administrative processes and legislative requirements.
- An understanding of Interlibrary loans within an academic environment
- An understanding of the role of Readings and information resources to teaching and learning in an academic environment.
- Demonstrated experience working with systems, creating and editing data records, and other technologies such as scanning.
- A basic understanding of copyright as it applies to the Australian educational environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a member of a team.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
**Qualifications**
Completion of a diploma level qualification together with relevant experience in a library or similar environment, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training.
