Senior associate - commodities and global markets regulatory reporting

Join our Balance Sheet and Statistical Reporting team and play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate regulatory reporting to APRA and other regulatory agencies. Work closely with stakeholders managing the financial affairs and regulatory reporting obligations of our Commodities and Global Markets group.

What role will you play?
In this role, you will prepare and manage regulatory reports (including APRA’s Economic, Financial and Statistical reporting). You will also be responsible for ensuring successful transitions of new or changes to regulatory returns into business-as-usual processes. Your existing knowledge of controls and risk management associated with regulatory reporting will help you identify and implement opportunities for automation, process improvement and efficiencies. You will regularly engage and consult with a variety of internal stakeholders including data teams, business units, IT and risk management teams. You will apply your sharp finance and accounting acumen to understand and apply rules, interpretations, and assumptions around regulatory requirements, and ensure regulatory obligations are accurately completed and lodged on a timely basis.
What You Offer
Bachelor of accountancy or finance and hold or currently working towards a professional accounting qualification like CA or CPA High attention to detail and the confidence to flag potential issues and strong numerical and abstract reasoning skills Ability to communicate with stakeholders across varying levels of seniority Ability to access and test the validity of complex data 2+ years experience preferably in financial accounting, financial control, audit, legal entity control, or regulatory reporting in a financial institution Knowledge of APRA regulatory reporting rules and requirements will be advantageous Understanding of banking and financial products will be advantageous.
