Senior Mechanical Designer
Elevate your career as a skilled Senior Mechanical Designer with our full-service Engineering Firm. We're looking for a talented professional to work on exciting project designs, manage projects for tier 1 clients, and collaborate with the broader team.
As a Senior Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for:
* Mechanical design from feasibility through to detailed design
* Detailed design of mechanical elements, such as conveyors, surge bins, chutes, and transfer stations
* Collaborating with the team to ensure coordination and integration of mechanical elements with overall plant design
* Preparing design drawings for fabrication where required
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mechanical)
* 6+ years experience in design engineering for mining and resources
* Relevant experience in mining, minerals processing, and/or bulk materials handling industries
* Experience across a range of commodities, including gold, copper, lithium, and iron ore
* Knowledge of industry standards for mechanical design in the Australian mining sector
* Experience with design software packages such as MicroStation and Prosteel
* Good presentation and communication skills
* Demonstrated understanding of industry safety and environmental standards
