Construction Coordinator – Decommissioning

UGL Fuels & Energy line of business are seeking interest from experienced Offshore Construction Coordinators to join the Decommissioning team in Melbourne, VIC. As part of the Fuels & Energy portfolio, this position will be working on a secured contract with a major oil and gas distributor.
About the role
The Construction Coordinator is a key role providing advice and support to the Construction Manager and team between the planning, scheduling, engineering and execution teams on the Campaign 1 Decommissioning contract. The role will support the Planning and Scheduling team and Engineering team by managing site work specifically but not exclusively the FTA platforms work program from commencement to ready for execution, including scoping, engineering, estimating, scheduling and coordination. You will monitor and interpret HSE legislation, policies and regulations in order to provide direction and advice which meet statutory, corporate and client objectives and responsibilities.
About you
To be considered for the role the following qualifications will be highly regarded:
1. 15 years’ plus experience in an Offshore/Onshore role in a high-risk facility for major resources sites within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Chemical industries
2. End to end managing all aspects of site execution relating to Decommissioning activities
3. Liaise with Engineering during the Detailed Design phases to ensure that execution excellence influences the design for the safest and most cost-efficient outcome
4. Manage resourcing levels during the planning, mobilisation, and execution phases
5. Proven experience in site management / construction supervision with the ability to manage multi-discipline workforces
6. Collaborate as part of a supportive high-performing team providing mentoring and coaching to individuals
7. Travel to facilities under the portfolio, predominantly offshore Bass Strait
