Role & Responsibilities
In your new role, you will report into the CFO and be responsible for the following:
* Drive and manage month end process and preparation of management accounts, annual budgeting and forecasting
* Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
* Prepare group consolidation and elimination journals
* Present accurate and timely financial information including insightful analysis/commentary
* Lead half year review and annual financial audit with the external auditor
* For ASX disclosure, provide financial analysis and insights, including variance analysis, profitability analysis, and scenario planning
* Develop and optimize financial models to support business planning and decision-making
* Liaise with external accountant and tax advisor on global taxation requirements as needed (e.g. ITR, FBT, BAS, global indirect taxes)
* Support the team duties of managing payroll, accounts receivables and accounts payable as required
* Identify, support and lead process improvement initiatives
* General support on all financial matters as required such as managing working capital, including cashflow forecasting, forecasting of FX requirements
Qualification:
* CA/CPA qualification with a tertiary accounting qualification
* Total 8+ years' experience (including 5+ years' in a commercial environment or an auditor in a Big 4 accounting firm)
* Significant financial control experience in the Retail/FMCG/eComm
* Experience in ASX listed environment is highly preferred
* Experience in fast pace start-up environment is a big Plus
* History of process improvement and desire to improve operations
