About The Role
This role is part of the St Vincent's Lismore Ward 4 team and reports directly to our Nurse Unit Manager. As the Administration Officer (Ward Clerk) you will be responsible for:

* The day-to-day administration and surgical list management for all procedures conducted within the department;
* Effectively planning and prioritising work requirements to ensure the unit is provided with the highest quality administrative service;
* Collaboration with all personnel involved in the planning and preparation and care of patients admitted to the perioperative department;
* Ensuring all service delivery is outcome based and consumer centred.
About The Role

We have one 12 month fixed term contract position available, based at our St Vincent's Lismore campus.

Your Skills & Experience
* Demonstrated experience in the day-to-day administration of patient files in a ward would be desirable
* Demonstrated experience and aptitude in the use of basic computer applications including Microsoft Office and other applications
* Previous experience working within a front-line customer service environment and delivering a professional, empathetic and personalised approach to customers
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate effectively with a diverse range of patients, the general public and our caregivers
* Effective time management skills and demonstrated ability to prioritise workload
