China Construction Bank is offering an exciting full time permanent role for a Associate Director to join our well-established organisation as we continue to expand.
About this role
This role is within Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) department and located at our Melbourne branch. The key focus of this role is to proactively manage and develop a portfolio of Corporate & Institutional clients across a range of industries including Utilities, Infrastructure, Property and industrials.
Skills and Experience
* Your previous experience in Corporate and Institutional Banking including deal origination and managing an existing portfolio and complex credit proposals and risk assessment will be important to your success. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
* Tertiary qualifications preferably in Finance, Business, Accounting or Economics.
* Over 5 years' experience with Corporate & Institutional Banking gained within Australia, the ability to arrange and execute credit products covering bilateral and syndicated loan facilities and a good knowledge of trade finance/ hedging products. Experience in Renewable Energy, Transport, Utilities, PPPs and Project finance is highly regarded.
* High level of initiative and exceptional organization skills to manage the client portfolio.
* Proven performance and broad Relationship Management skills with a focus on building relationships with both clients as well as internal stakeholders. Excellent client handling, interpersonal and negotiating skills.
Key priorities and responsibilities include:
* To identify and source new client relationships and project finance / PPP transactions that fit within the commercial and credit parameters of the bank.
* Maintain and develop client relationships with existing client portfolio within the business principles and guidelines of the bank. Provide a primary point of contact for customers and pursue cross selling opportunities across trade finance, derivatives, green loans and deposit products.
* Our internal relationships are valuable to us. We seek to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders such as Risk, Compliance, Treasury, and Operations etc. based on mutual respect, integrity and professional credibility.
* Management of the entire lending process including the preparation of credit papers, presentation to credit committee, post lending management, customer due diligence and loan documentation. Ensure regular credit reviews, customer due diligence and post lending management of customer loans are carried out in time and accurately.
* Perform internal reporting or other operational tasks when required by internal stakeholders.
