Randstad is currently a preferred partner with a Local Government organisation to recruit for the below role:
Job Title:People and Culture Advisor (temp)
Location:South Eastern Suburbs
Salary:$***** per hour + superannuation
Contract:8-month contract, ASAP start until 30 June ****
About the Role
Reporting to the People and Culture Business Partner, the successful candidate will join the People Service Team to provide support.
This role is key in supporting managers through change and consultation meetings and managing all related employee correspondence.
You will also provide generalist HR support across the employment lifecycle as required, including recruitment, letters of offer, and support to the People Services Coordinator.
This is a hybrid role, requiring an in-office presence in the South Eastern Suburbs to support in-person meetings (especially initially), with flexibility to work from home on other days.
Key Responsibilities
Support managers and leaders through all aspects of organisational change processes, including consultation meetings.
Draft and issue correspondence and letters relating to organisational change and other employment matters.
Provide timely HR advice to management and staff on the interpretation of the Enterprise Agreement, legislation, policies, and procedures.
Assist with other HR tasks as required, such as recruitment, generating letters of offer, and supporting the People Services Coordinator.
Prepare contracts of employment and maintain accurate employee records in HRIS systems.
Provide support to HR projects and initiatives.
Skills & Experience Required
Demonstrated experience as a human resource practitioner, with specific experience supporting organisational change.
Strong ability to support and guide managers through change processes.
High-level written communication skills, with experience drafting formal correspondence and letters.
Sound knowledge of the FairWork Act and other relevant employment legislation.
Ability to accurately interpret and provide advice on Enterprise Agreements, policies, and procedures.
An ability to build and establish strong relationships with stakeholders.
