Primary objective

As Budget Analyst you will be supporting budget management of our event portfolio, contract administration, financial and

forecasting, analysis including all aspects of accounts payable, receivable, banking and credit card processing and reconciliation,

implementation of financial policies, procedures and review statutory and management reporting. For the next couple of months,

the role will also include administering the financial operations of a separate subsidiary entity during its wind-down phase, ensuring

compliance, accurate reporting, and orderly closure alongside meeting ongoing departmental requirements.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Provide full scope efficient finance management with budgeting, accounts payable/receivable, credit card and bank

reconciliations, on-line banking support, P&L variance analysis and balance sheet control.

2. Manage end of month processing and reconciliations, support business units and project managers through the provision of

advice, timely reporting, review financial transactions against budget and investigate anomalies.

3. Full scope payroll processing for Company specific employees and meeting ATO reporting standards.

4. Prepare and review contract management and reporting, ensuring company procurement procedures are adhered to.

5. Prepare all aspects of statutory and management financial reporting, including BAS/IAS, FBT, Payroll Tax.

1. Assist with preparation of financial statements for internal and external company requirements.
2. Administer both the Company's and Departments financial systems.

3. Attend to financial enquiries by gathering, analysing, summarizing and interpreting data promptly.

4. Recommend efficiencies and internal control improvements to continually develop processes.

Selection criteria

Essential

1. Proven experience in the preparation and presentation of accurate financial reports and information to assist in informed

decision-making.

2. Experience in accounts payable and receivable administration and processing with sound conceptual understanding of relevant

Australian taxation law.

3. Expertise with payroll management and reporting including familiarity with relevant awards, Fair Work requirements and

statutory reporting.

1. Proven ability to meet deadlines with competing priorities while maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
2. Positive can-do attitude and commitment to providing high level customer focus, with a demonstrated ability to utilise existing

networks and build productive relationships with clients, stakeholders and team members.

6. High level of computer literacy with both accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel. A

demonstrated ability in using information technology as an effective management and communication tool.

7. Ability and willingness to work outside normal working hours including public holidays and weekends as and when required to

support events delivery.

1. Desirably, you will hold CA/CPA qualifications or are working towards these qualifications and have previous experience with

NetSuite Oracle.
