Overview
We are inviting applications from registered Psychologists to commence within our Allied Health Department on a permanent ongoing basis. This role offers opportunities to work alongside an experienced team and to participate in clinical development within the trauma field. There are opportunities to work across both inpatient and outpatient programs and to contribute to programs such as STAIR, TRP, Anxiety for PTSD, RO-DBT, Schema Therapy, Anger Management, Civilian Trauma programs, Drug and Alcohol, and DBT- applied to complex PTSD, as well as conducting comprehensive assessments.
Responsibilities
* Provides individualised and group clinical care based on professional training reflecting current ethical clinical practice as required.
* Provides comprehensive assessment and care planning, monitoring client progress, and adjusting treatment accordingly.
* Evaluates clinical outcomes and participates in research activities as required.
* Liaises with all staff to promote effective communication including verbal and written feedback to referring Doctor.
* Familiar with and complies with legal and ethical responsibilities to patients, visitors and staff.
* Maintains confidentiality and an appropriate professional relationship with staff and patients.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification of Psychology with registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.
* Experience/ability to provide group programs and individual therapy to child, adolescent and adult patients/clients presenting with a myriad of concerns.
* High-level written and oral communication skills, ability to undertake quality improvement activities, and knowledge of research and evidence-based practice methodologies.
Remuneration and Benefits
Salary: $79,551 to $118,246 (pro rata if part-time) plus 12% Superannuation. Permanent full-time working 38 hours per week. Salary packaging up to $18,550 on a range of benefits such as mortgage, rent, meal entertainment, holiday accommodation or other everyday living expenses, as well as options to salary package benefits above the FBT cap (e.g., novated leasing, work-related expenses, self-education and additional superannuation).
