About the roles
CSBS Group is seeking experienced and compassionate Support Workers to form a dedicated team for a 62-year-old female participant based in Gympie.
The participant is living with left-side immobility following a right-side stroke. Your role will focus on promoting dignity, independence, and well-being through person-centred, clinical and domestic support.
· Support needs include:
· Physical assistance with transfers and mobility
· Personal care, including stoma care
· Meal preparation and household tasks
· Transport for medical appointments, shopping, and social/community activities
Support is required 24/7, including passive sleepover shifts, and all team members will be expected to participate in a rotating roster to ensure fairness and consistency.
About you
We are especially interested in candidates who bring at least 2 years’ experience in complex Supported Independent Living (SIL) environments and can demonstrate sound clinical knowledge.
Ideal for applicants with backgrounds as:
· Enrolled Nurses (EN)
· Support Workers (SW)
· Assistant in Nursing (AIN)
To thrive in this role, you should:
Hold a Certificate III or higher in Disability, Aged Care, or a relevant field (highly regarded)
Have hands-on experience with:
· Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
· Stoma care
Relevant probity items required
· a NDIS Worker Screening Check
· an Open Queensland Driver's Licence
· a reliable motor vehicle with comprehensive insurance
· a current First Aid & CPR Certificate
· a reliable smartphone with data
· completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You’.
