About the role
We are currently looking for a team of reliable and dedicated Support Workers to work in Tweed Heads and Lismore. The role involves providing a safe and loving environment and supporting clients in growth, development, healing and empowerment. A background in first aid, mental health, and/or disability support is preferred.

Skills Required
- High level of administrative skills
- Experience in suicide prevention
- Mental health first aid certification
Essential Requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children's Check
- Willingness to undergo pre‐employment checks
- A valid Australian driver's licence with a reliable and comprehensively insured car
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Current certification in Trauma Informed Care (desirable)
- Youth Mental Health First Aid (highly desirable)
ResponsibilitiesDocument Management
- Add all required documents to the NH internal system
- Ensure compliance with all documentation requirements
Referrals
- Handle referrals from Primary Health Networks (PHNs)
- Respond to referrals within 24 hours
- Review and act on discharge summaries received
- Make contact with clients based on discharge summaries
Client Support
- Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans
- Provide weekly support, including risk assessments and safety planning
- Link clients with appropriate services
- Demonstrate empathy and adaptability
