About the role
We're looking for an experienced and dynamic CPA or CA to join our growing, multi-entity organisation as our Finance Manager.
This role will require the successful applicant to mentor and strategically build the capacity of our finance function, as we navigate increasing demands. Skills in leadership and process management will be key to ensuring long‑term growth.
Key responsibilities of the role:
* Manage and mentor the finance team, ensuring efficient operations and accurate data flow.
* Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports to stakeholders.
* Develop, manage, and deliver budgets and critical cash flow forecasting models.
* Take ownership of, continuously monitor, and improve internal financial policies, processes, controls, and risk registers.
* Manage interest rates and cash sweeping, and coordinate the provision of detailed financial information for insurance and risk considerations.
* Oversee taxation compliance, manage year‑end tax preparation, payroll, and payments, and ensure ASIC maintenance and corporate file updates.
* Provide financial and operational support to the Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director.
Location
This role is based in Cottesloe, Perth. There may be occasional travel to other offices within Perth.
What you will need
* Post‑graduate professional accounting qualification (CPA or CA)
* Strong time management skills and attention to detail
* Proven experience in a similar role
* Experience within a small‑to‑medium enterprise (SME)
* Proven ability to lead, manage, mentor, and develop a finance team
* Strong skills in process management, workflow control, and internal financial controls
* Proficiency in financial analysis, data flow improvement, and developing cash flow forecasting models and budgets
* Experience presenting financial information to various stakeholders, such as board members, external advisors, and auditors, at a high standard
* A high level of discretion and ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with integrity
* Experience with Xero and/or MS Dynamics/Business Central
* Prior experience in Public Practice or experience in a similar capacity.
* This role is well‑suited for professionals currently in Public Practice holding Client or Staff Management positions who seek to transition into Family Office or Commercial environments.
