About the Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for a Production Engineer to join our Golden Grove operation in Western Australia. This site-based role forms part of the Underground Mining Team, reports to the Senior Mine Production Engineer, and operates on an 8:6 roster. Your focus will be on designing, planning, and overseeing drilling and blasting to optimise safety and productivity in underground mining.
Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include
* Designing and issuing drill, charge, and re‐drill plans to optimise underground production.
* Ensuring compliance with rig specifications and maintaining accurate, up-to-date digital plans.
* Monitoring drilling progress, performance, and production reconciliations.
* Overseeing quality control through inspections, survey mark‐up checks, and QAQC of charging practices.
* Maintaining production tracking systems.
* Collaborating closely with operations supervisors and technical services teams to support safe, efficient mining.
About You
Our ideal candidate will have some post‐graduation experience in an operational mining environment, including exposure to underground environments.
Other Key Skills, Experience, And Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
* Understanding of underground mining practices, ideally including longhole stoping.
* Some knowledge of production drilling rigs, charging systems, and modern underground firing practices.
* Exposure to ring design software.
* Current C‐class manual driver's licence.
