The Opportunity

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager – Oceania, the Customer Solutions Adviser plays a key role in driving commercial growth by generating new business from both existing and prospective customers.

This role combines commercial insight, analytical precision, and customer engagement to maximise opportunities within B&H Worldwide's aerospace logistics network. You will prepare accurate and competitive quotations, identify new or expanded revenue opportunities, and build strong relationships with customers to ensure exceptional service delivery and repeat business.

Success in this role requires a blend of technical understanding, commercial acumen, and proactive relationship management to deliver solutions that meet both customer needs and company objectives.

Key Role Accountabilities

Account Management Support

* Proactively identify and pursue new commercial opportunities within existing and prospective customer accounts, collaborating with relevant departments to convert leads into revenue.
* Engage regularly with allocated customers and prospects to understand trading trends, upcoming needs, and opportunities for growth in logistics spend.
* Analyse account data and market trends to inform quoting strategies, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with customer and company objectives.
* Re-engage lapsed or low-activity customers by diagnosing barriers, implementing tailored action plans, and rebuilding trust to restore business.
* Develop and execute customer growth strategies for target accounts showing reduced engagement, ensuring consistent relationship development and improved trading performance.
* Conduct structured account reviews to assess performance, uncover cross-selling opportunities, and strengthen long-term partnerships.

One-Day Quote Management (ODQ)

* Prepare accurate, timely quotes that meet customer requirements and deliver appropriate profit margins in line with B&H Worldwide's pricing policies.
* Follow agreed Customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for rates, response times, routing, and service solutions.
* Use CargoWise (preferred but not essential) or other approved tools to create and manage quotes in the correct format.
* Track and follow up on open quotes within required timeframes to improve conversion rates and maintain strong customer engagement.
* Record all quoting activity in CRM, including wins, losses, and follow-ups, to support accurate reporting and forecasting.
* Work closely with internal departments to ensure customers receive fast, consistent, and competitive responses.
* Support international B&H offices on multi-region quotes and tenders, maintaining clear communication and service consistency across global teams.

Quote Log Quality & Compliance Management

* Maintain an accurate and up-to-date log of all customer enquiries and quotations to ensure visibility of ongoing and completed activity.
* Monitor and analyse quote performance, identifying patterns, conversion rates, and key factors contributing to both successful and unsuccessful outcomes.
* Record and report key ODQ metrics to support continuous improvement in response times, pricing accuracy, and conversion efficiency.
* Conduct root-cause reviews of lost quotes, recommending practical solutions to strengthen future quoting performance.
* Identify customers suitable for contracted or volume pricing arrangements rather than frequent spot quotes, improving retention and profitability.
* Share qualified leads and insights with the Business Development Team to support proactive follow-up and pipeline growth.

Pricing Administration

* Oversee the centralised pricing process to ensure all rate requests are managed efficiently, accurately, and in line with B&H Worldwide's commercial objectives.
* Maintain and update the database of standard rates for key trade lanes, products, and services to support consistent and competitive quoting.
* Serve as the primary contact for all Rate Requests for Quotes (RFQs) across the Oceania region, coordinating input from relevant departments to deliver timely and commercially sound responses.

Operations Quoting Performance Monitoring

* Follow up on leads and enquiries generated through aerospace industry events, exhibitions, conferences, and lead lists, converting opportunities into active customers.
* Build and strengthen customer relationships through regular communication, including face-to-face meetings, phone calls, and Microsoft Teams engagement.
* Maintain accurate CRM records of all customer interactions, quoting activity, and prospecting progress to support visibility of sales pipeline performance.
* Monitor and evaluate competitor activity, gathering intelligence on pricing, service offerings, and market developments to inform quoting strategy and improve win rates.

Your Experience

* Experience in aerospace time-critical logistics or a related transport, freight, or supply chain environment is advantageous but not essential.
* Proven ability to build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships across diverse industry sectors.
* Commercially minded problem-solver with well-developed analytical and numerical skills, capable of delivering accurate, data-driven outcomes.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); experience with CargoWise is highly regarded.
* Adaptable and resilient, able to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, time-critical environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong influencing and negotiation ability.
* Detail-oriented and process-driven, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance in all work performed.
* Collaborative and competitive, balancing teamwork with a drive to achieve results and deliver win-win outcomes.
* Self-motivated and proactive, demonstrating initiative, persistence, and accountability for achieving business goals.
