About the Committee
The Risk Management and Audit Committee (RMAC) is established as an advisory committee to the City of Palmerston Council. The Committee is established by Council, pursuant to the Local Government Act 2019 (NT) and Local Government (General) Regulations 2021 (NT), with key functions to:
* Monitor and review the integrity of City of Palmerston's financial and performance management.
* Monitor and review City of Palmerston's internal controls.
* Make recommendations to Council about any matters the Committee believes may require the Council's consideration under the above functions.
RMAC consists of a minimum of four members, comprising Elected Members of Council and a minimum of two Independent Members. RMAC meets at least four times a year and plays an integral role in providing oversight and advice to Council on matters outlined in the Risk Management and Audit Committee Terms of Reference located via the below link.
