Our client is seeking a Microsoft 365 Consultant Engineer to join their team.
The purpose of this role is to provide their customers with expert technical services in the delivery of projects and support services, focusing on Microsoft Modern Workplace technologies such as Intune/Autopilot, Defender, M365 migrations, Hybrid Exchange, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, Copilot and Viva. This includes pre-sales, design, implementation, support, and resolution of complex problems.
You will work as part of a small but growing technical team that delivers a variety of technical projects. You must be able to collaborate with the team as well as work autonomously to deliver excellent outcomes to their customers.
Responsibilities:
* Project Implementation: Serve as the senior engineer on systems/solutions projects, collaborating with the Project Manager and technical lead to ensure smooth and correct implementation of customer solutions.
* System Analysis and Design: Perform system analysis, technical design, implementation, and maintenance of systems with an emphasis on Cloud and infrastructure technologies.
* Timely Delivery: Ensure technical delivery activities are performed in a timely manner, in accordance with contracted terms and agreed design.
* Timesheet Management: Manage a personal timesheet within guidelines and timeframes as required by our client.
* Customer Satisfaction: Ensure corporate customer satisfaction standards are met and follow up with clients to ensure they are satisfied with the service or products provided.
* Technical Support: Resolve complex problems with clients’ systems and/or software applications and provide technical support to client requests, dealing with complex service queries and problems.
* Vendor Engagement: Attend informational sessions provided by vendors and our client.
* Team Collaboration: Work as a team player, assisting other team members to achieve their goals.
* Compliance: Ensure compliance with our client's Quality and Project Management Systems.
* Technology Evaluation: Assist in technically evaluating new and emerging technologies for their fit within our client's product portfolio.
* Customer Service: Provide a high level of customer service as required, on-site or remotely.
Experience:
Candidates for this role should have a minimum of 3-6 years of related technical experience working with M365 and cloud technologies, along with relevant vendor certifications.
Skills and Knowledge:
* Experience with various Microsoft Office 365 migrations (Email, SharePoint, and OneDrive).
* Experience with Microsoft 365 services including Entra ID, Conditional Access, PIM/PAM.
* Microsoft Unified Endpoint Management, Windows Autopilot, Intune MDM/MAM configurations for Apple and Android.
* SharePoint Online / Microsoft Teams Design, Implementation and Migration including Governance and Security.
* Hybrid Exchange Configuration, Migration, and Decommissioning.
* Microsoft Defender for Endpoint configurations and hardening best practices.
* Azure IaaS design and migration.
* Microsoft Purview for data protection and governance.
* Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022.
* Expertise in fault finding and problem diagnosis for infrastructure and network issues.
* Technical expertise in the design, implementation, and support of systems applied to small and medium environments.
* Understanding of well-known security frameworks such as CIS or Essential 8.
* PowerShell Scripting experience.
* Microsoft Viva.
* Any relevant Microsoft certifications (MS900, MD102, MS102, MS700, MS721, SC900, SC300, SC400 and AZ104 etc.)
