We're seeking an Engineering and Compliance Manager. In this role, you will lead the end‐to‐end development, engineering, and release of Mazda Genuine Accessories and localised parts for the Australian market, ensuring they meet customer needs, regulatory requirements, and commercial objectives. You will work closely with global and local stakeholders, suppliers, and external partners to deliver high‐quality, compliant, and competitive products that support vehicle launches and ongoing business performance. A key component of the role is overseeing vehicle and parts homologation to ensure full compliance with Australian Design Rules (ADR) prior to market release.

This role requires a full‐time, on‐site presence, five days a week, to foster collaboration, strengthen team connections, and ensure seamless support across the business.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the conception, development, engineering, testing, and release of Mazda Genuine Accessories and localised parts
* Source and manage local and international suppliers, including negotiating pricing, supply terms, and warranties
* Ensure all accessories and parts meet OEM standards, Australian regulatory requirements, and quality expectations
* Develop and implement competitive pricing strategies to support profitability and market positioning
* Manage supplier performance and maintain strong relationships to ensure service levels, quality, and supply continuity
* Engage and direct external suppliers on vehicle and parts homologation activities, ensuring full compliance with Australian Design Rules (ADR) prior to market release
* Coordinate with external partners and internal stakeholders to manage regulatory submissions (e.g. VTA, RAV) and ensure timely approvals
* Support ANCAP safety requirements, including coordination of testing and engagement with relevant authorities
* Provide engineering and compliance support across the business, including local vehicle programs and product enhancements

About You

You're a confident analytical expert with a strong service mindset, able to balance day‐to‐day operations with strategic improvement. You build trust quickly, communicate clearly, and are comfortable working multiple stakeholders in a fast‐paced environment.

Qualifications

* A relevant tertiary qualification in an engineering discipline
* 5–10 years' experience in an automotive engineering role
* Sound experience in project management, managing multiple suppliers
* Experience with vehicle homologation, ANCAP or vehicle crash testing
* Strong numerical, analytical and problem‐solving skills
* Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively in a team environment and across departments
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
