About the role:
We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Theatre Technician Orderly to join our hospital team on a casual basis. Monday to Friday adaptable roster.
Duties and responsibilities:
This role will see you working collaboratively with both the administrative and clinical teams, as well as liaising with our 3 Support Offices.
- Assist with admissions and discharges and prepare patients for surgery
- Provide safe transfer, handling and positioning of patients to and from the operating theatre
- Maintaina clean environment including linen and refuse removal
- Ensure beds are correct and made according to the session allocations
- Assist in the cleaning of operating theatres
- Complete any relevant audits in collaboration with clinical lead
- Assist with stock control and ordering
- Maintainan awareness of cost control and restraint in the use of supplies and equipment
About You:
You have a genuine passion for providing world‑class customer service and patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:
- Experience as a Theatre Technician Orderly
- Knowledge and understanding of lifting, positioning and transferring techniques using available equipment
- Experience in supply / stock control management and ordering
- Knowledge of infection control principles
- Ability to prioritise and coordinate work to meet patient and customer needs
