ACM is excited to partner with a dynamic local government division near the base of the stunning Blue Mountains to find their next Economic Attraction Lead. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on the region's economy by shaping and delivering initiatives that create jobs, attract investment, and build a vibrant, thriving community.
Your Role
As the Economic Attraction Lead, you will contribute to the implementation of the Economic Development Strategy 2023-2031, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to:
* Develop and deliver innovative projects that strengthen the local economy and align with Council's strategic goals.
* Attract investment into the region while creating pathways for sustainable job growth.
* Provide strategic economic advice to influence decision-making and maximise regional opportunities.
* Research and analyse economic data to inform planning and communicate insights effectively to a variety of audiences.
* Foster collaboration with community leaders, businesses, and government agencies to drive outcomes.
What You'll Bring
To excel in this role, you'll need:
* Essential Skills and Experience :
o A tertiary qualification in Economic Development or a related field.
o Demonstrated experience in economic, urban, or regional development.
o Strategic, analytical, and organisational expertise with a track record of delivering complex projects.
o Strong data interpretation skills and experience tailoring insights for diverse stakeholders.
o Excellent communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills.
o A valid Class C Driver Licence.
* Desirable Skills :
o Experience in local government, the public sector, or a large organisation.
