Team Leader – Information Technology (Fixed Term Full-time)

About Central Gippsland Health
Central Gippsland Health (CGH) is a sub-regional health service and the major provider of health and aged care services in the Wellington Shire.
CGH is located in the City of Sale which is 215 km east of Melbourne. The City of Sale is an ideal access point for the magnificent Gippsland Lakes, 90 Mile Beach and the Victorian Alps.
CGH provides acute care as part of an integrated service delivery model across Wellington Shire and beyond. The service provides beds across three campuses (Sale, Maffra and Heyfield).
Acute services include a full-time emergency department, critical care unit, neonatal critical care unit, three operating theatres, day procedure unit, oncology and dialysis services in addition to general medical and services and sub-acute services including rehabilitation.
CGH also provides aged care and community services in the Wellington Shire and beyond.
We operate four residential aged care homes located in Sale, Maffra, and Heyfield delivering high-quality, person-centred care in supportive and homelike environments.
CGH provides a wide range of community-based services that support people to remain healthy, active, and independent in their own homes. This includes Support at Home, Commonwealth Home Support Programs, and other in-home services tailored to individual needs.
Our integrated model of care is supported by a multidisciplinary allied health team offering physiotherapy, dietetics, occupational therapy, speech pathology, and social work. We also provide accessible public dental services to enhance community wellbeing.
CGH is a leading teaching hospital, affiliated with Monash University's School of Rural Health and provides placements and clinical experience for students.

About Department
The ICT Department supports the delivery of efficient and secure technology services across CGH.
Coordinating with the Gippsland Health Alliance to provide responsive, high-quality ICT helpdesk support.
Managing software, hardware, and ICT infrastructure.
Supporting staff with incident resolution, service requests, and ICT projects.
Coordinating subcontractors to meet CGH's technology needs.
Ensuring compliance with Department of Health ICT requirements and standards.
About the Role
Provides strategic leadership and oversight of the ICT team, ensuring the delivery of timely, high-quality technology services. The role is responsible for guiding ICT planning, managing operational service delivery, supporting project implementation, and ensuring CGH's technology infrastructure and initiatives meet organisational and regulatory requirements.
Duties
Provide effective day-to-day supervision of the ICT department.
Participate in implementation and development of CGHS ICT business plan ensuring it aligns with overall CGHS and GHA strategic directions.
Support the maintenance, replacement and strategic acquisition of CGH's ICT infrastructure, medical and various other equipment required to provide a high-quality health service, consistent with CGHS role delineation, including negotiating effectively with suppliers.
Ensure all helpdesk support calls are actioned and resolved within agreed timeframes.
Manage and regularly report on the operational and financial performance of the department, including briefs and proposals for DCS or other governance forums.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Demonstrated team leadership skills.
3 years of experience in an information technology support role(s).
Completion of a Diploma of Information Technology course, or equivalent.
Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
Other directly relevant VET or tertiary qualification.
Health and Hospital experience.
