About the Emergency Department
Following a major hospital redevelopment, Goulburn Hospital’s Emergency Department now delivers care in a purpose-built, modern environment with advanced facilities and a solid multidisciplinary team.
The ED features:
- 2 resuscitation bays
- 6 acute bays
- 1 mental health room
- 4 Fast Track chairs
- 3 consult rooms (including ENT / eye and plaster/procedure)
- 4 Short Stay bays
The department sees 22,000+ presentations annually — a solid and varied case mix ideal for experienced SMOs who thrive in hands-on, clinically stimulating settings.
With consistent shift availability and a supportive nursing and management team, this is a department where you can deliver quality emergency care without the chaos of larger metro hospitals.

Rates: $180–$300 per hour (depending on shift type)
Dates: Ongoing from September 2025

- 28/09/2025 – ED Night Shift (Sole Doctor) | 22:30–08:30 | $300/hr
- 01/10/2025 – In-Charge Day & Evening | $200/hr
- 02/10/2025 – ED Night Shift | 22:30–08:30 | $250/hr
- 04/10/2025 – In-Charge | $200/hr
- 05–07/10/2025 – Night Shifts | 22:30–08:30 | $250/hr
