As a Clinical Nurse Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the care of older patients through expert clinical leadership, education, and service development.
In this role you will be:
* Providing specialist clinical advice and consultancy in aged care practice.
* Leading care coordination, assessment and behaviour management strategies.
* Driving quality improvement, research initiatives and evidence-based practice.
* Designing and delivering education programs for staff, patients and carers.
* Influencing service planning, policy development and system-wide improvements.

Essential Criteria:
* Qualification: Post-graduate qualification related to the specified area of specialty or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the organisation.
* Registration: Registered Nurse with current Authority to practice with AHPRA.
Selection Criteria:
* At least 5 years of full-time post-registration experience, including at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in the specialty field.
* Demonstrated clinical leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team framework, with a strong commitment to clinical excellence in nursing practice.
* Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating initiative, accountability, and sound clinical judgment.
* Demonstrated skills and experience in delivering education and training, with a sound understanding of evidence-based practice and a commitment to person- and relationship-centred care
* Advanced interpersonal and communication skills, including negotiation, conflict resolution, and advocacy, particularly when engaging with key internal and external stakeholders.
* Experience in conducting or contributing to research, clinical audits, and/or clinical practice improvement projects. Experience assisting services in preparation for accreditation cycles is highly regarded.
* Demonstrated ability and knowledge to utilise information technology effectively.
