Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team. As a Disability Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people with disabilities.
Responsibilities
* Provide person-centred care to individuals with disabilities
* Support participants with daily living tasks, such as bathing and dressing
* Accompany participants on outings and activities, such as going to the beach or movies
* Attend medical appointments and provide companionship at home
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Cert III in Disability or higher (or equivalent experience)
* Experience in high care, mental health, trauma-informed care, or behaviors of concern
* A current Working with Children Check and First Aid/CPR certificates
* A full and clean Australian driver's licence and access to a fully insured, reliable vehicle
* Good communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work independently
* Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
