About the role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Financial Accountant to join our Finance team. You will play a key role in providing comprehensive financial accounting services across our business streams, including Residential Services, Retirement Living, At Home, Community Services, and Housing and Support Services. Your responsibilities will include client billing, account reconciliations, preparing statutory accounts, supporting audits, and producing accurate financial reports. You'll work closely with facility managers and the wider finance team to ensure effective processes and compliance with safety standards.
About you:
* Qualified Accountant – a master's degree in accounting is ideal
* Demonstrated workplace experience in a similar role
* Sound experience in Financial Management Systems
* Experienced in preparation of full trial balance and reconciliations
* Experienced in preparation of financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders
* High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
* Ability to work collaboratively and build key relationships
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy
* Industry experience in Aged Care is essential
* Prior experience or knowledge in Retirement Village is desirable
* Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare's Christian identity and promote the organisation's values through interactions at work
