Role Description
The Senior Business Process Improvement Consultant is responsible for leading and delivering business and process improvement initiatives that align organisational strategy to execution. This role blends hands‐on process discovery and modelling with business improvement design, operating model development, and stakeholder advisory. The consultant works across business and technology stakeholders to analyse current‐state processes, identify improvement opportunities, and design future‐state solutions that deliver measurable value and sustainable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and facilitate process discovery workshops and stakeholder interviews across business and technology teams.
* Develop high‐quality end‐to‐end process maps and supporting documentation (L3–L4) using standard BPM tools.
* Analyse process, organisational, data, and system landscapes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities.
* Design future‐state (To‐Be) processes, value streams, and contribute to operating model initiatives aligned to strategy.
* Scope and support business improvement initiatives including process optimisation, re‐engineering, automation, and technology enablement.
* Communicate insights, findings, and recommendations clearly to senior business stakeholders and leadership teams.
* Elicit, analyse, and document business and functional requirements, ensuring alignment between business needs, process designs, and proposed solutions.
* Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and delivery teams to clarify requirements, assess solution options, and validate outcomes against agreed acceptance criteria.
* Support governance, standards, and capability uplift for process and business improvement practices.
* Mentor junior consultants and contribute to team capability development.
* Support pre‐sales, proposal development, and engagement scoping activities as required.
Required Skills And Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Management, or a related discipline.
* 5+ years' experience in business improvement, process consulting, business analysis, or related roles.
* Strong experience in process discovery, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement across varied audiences.
* Demonstrated proficiency with process modelling tools such as Visio, ARIS, or equivalent.
* Strong analytical, problem‐solving, and written and verbal communication skills.
* Consultative, professional, and client‐focused working style.
* Comfortable operating across both strategic and detailed delivery contexts.
* Structured thinker with a strong focus on outcomes and value realisation.
* Adaptable and able to work across industries, clients, and engagement models.
Desired Skills/Experience
* Experience with business or process architecture concepts (capability models, value streams, operating models).
* Exposure to large‐scale transformation programs, automation, or technology‐enabled improvement initiatives.
* Relevant certifications or training in process improvement, business architecture, or change disciplines.
