This role plays a crucial part in reducing reoffending by delivering criminogenic programs designed to support positive change in inmates' lives.
About Clarence Correctional CentreOpened in mid-****, this 1,700-bed state-of-the-art facility is the largest correctional centre in Australia.Located on the beautiful NSW North Coast, approximately 6 hours' drive from Sydney and 3.5 hours from Brisbane, our region offers lush rainforests, epic headlands, sand dunes, and some of the best Australian beaches – plus a variety of multicultural cafés, restaurants and friendly local towns.
As a Program Delivery Officer in the Rehabilitation & Reintegration team, you'll make a positive impact by:
Delivering therapeutic and criminogenic programs to inmates based on Offence Related Program (ORP) objectivesAssessing inmate suitability and maintaining accurate documentation of progressEvaluating and recommending strategies to improve participant attendance whilst considering the needs of individualsLiaising with multidisciplinary teams and participating in ongoing training and developmentPromoting rehabilitation initiatives and contributing to reducing reoffending

A qualification in Psychology, Criminology, Social Work, Social Sciences, Community Services or other related discipline or relevant industry experienceCertificate IV in Correctional Practice (Case Management), or a willingness to complete within the first 12 monthsExperience in group facilitation, ideally dealing with complex mental health or behavioural issues (desirable)Ability to prepare and submit accurate reports within required timeframesStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse inmate populationsThe ability to work collaboratively in a professional team environment
